Its also because she was in a bad accident years ago that fucked up her face and vocal cords. While she can speak, it tends to hurt and she prefers to use notecards and her phone to communicate. Her sister ended up in a coma in said accident and without anyone else to rely on, Celty was forced to abandon her dreams of fame to support them both. Luckily, after several years of nothing, she managed to squeeze her way back into a music career and, more importantly, in the spotlight. Dealing with various stresses has made Celty a very cynical, detached person. She’s not interested in dealing with any band drama or even conversing with most people. More than anything, she wants to enjoy the sweet life as much as possible. That said, she's mildly aware of her faults and occasionally attempts to overcome them through talking and befriending people. But she's not trying all that hard. Seeing the Virgo Records brand kind of makes her feel like there's a pit in her stomach.

[It takes her a minute to recognize that it's Celty. Granted, could Celty ever expect the girl in the cardigan and skirt and wide-brimmed hat is the same hoodie-wearing rebel from Pride Records? She searches for the bodyguard that came with her--he's still by the door, but she doesn't want him to see her with Celty. Or, if Celty's being guarded too, her guard to see her with Kido.

God she's nervous. Which might explain why Kido's eyes are red and she's invisible at first. And when Celty doesn't notice her, she puts a hand on her arm--]

[She jumps a little in surprise before she recognizes the girl. Geez, she was skittish. For a second, she thought Blanche was there to cut off her hands or eat her liver. Or maybe order her to kill people.]
